Dr. Casey-Ann Collins is a doctorally- prepared Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Doctorate at Downstate Health Sciences University and her master’s degree at Long Island University (C.W. Post). With over 13 years of healthcare experience, Dr. Casey has worked and acquired skills in areas ranging from Emergency and Internal medicine to Dermatology. However, she found her true passion in her current setting of Women’s Health, where she has practiced for over four years. As a Women’s health provider, her workdays are pretty busy diagnosing and treating patients, performing procedures, and serving as a seasoned preceptor for medical students. Nonetheless, Dr. Casey takes pride in empowering and educating women of all races/backgrounds but takes special pride in empowering women who look like her due to the various disparities facing minorities and women of color in OB/GYN.
Dr. Casey was recently appointed Executive Director of Chicago 300 Black Women, an organization dedicated to empowering, uplifting, and celebrating black female professionals making strides in their respective fields. In 2023, Chicago 300 Black Women awarded Dr. Casey as one of the top 30 most influential women, and she will be recognized again for her efforts in 2024.
In 2022 and 2021, she was awarded “Health Care Provider of Excellence” by The Worldwide Leader in Healthcare, and in 2020, she was awarded “Top Nurse Practitioner” by Today’s Nurse. She was also seen in Brainz and Bella Magazine discussing various topics, from ways to level up in life to women’s health issues, and can be seen in other media for her hard work.
