Bob Kendrick is a kind, hardworking man who has dedicated countless hours of his life to preserving the legacy of African-American baseball players. He is also the President of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum (NLBM) located in Kansas City, MO. But, this is not your typical sports museum that Kendrick runs. This is a cathedral of sorts, showcasing and detailing the history of black players who made an impact both on and off the field. This is a museum that celebrates the rich history of the men and women who made an impact on the social advancement of our country. It is rather fitting that in 2020, a year of social unrest in the United States, the NLBM is celebrating its 100th anniversary.
