Stacy Hawkins Adams is an award-winning author and speaker who crafts fiction and nonfiction that helps readers find relevance in their stories. She has penned nine women’s fiction novels, a nonfiction devotional book, a book of original quotes and musings, and most recently, a single-poem chapbook titled “The Pivot.” She has also produced a compilation of original quotes in a notecard collection featuring the photography of actress/author Daphne Maxwell Reid.
Stacy’s novel Watercolored Pearls has been featured in college coursework; Coming Home was a Target store “Recommended Read,” and The Someday List was an Essence magazine bestseller. Her writing and speaking endeavors have landed her numerous accolades, including being named the 2021 Motivational Author of the Year by the National Black Book Festival and receiving a Central Virginia Communications & Leadership Award from Toastmasters International.
A former newspaper reporter and columnist, Stacy occasionally pens articles and essays for national publications, routinely speaks to audiences and teaches writing at conferences around the globe. She also mentors aspiring authors through her virtual membership group, Focused Writers, which, under her tutelage, published an anthology of personal essays several years ago titled On Womanhood: Connecting and Thriving in Every Season.
Stacy is writing a new novel exploring the intersections between identity, purpose, and family ties.
