Kara is a Houston native with roots in the Jersey Village community. 2009 Kara received a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Prairie View A&M University. While at Prairie View, Kara was a USDA 1890 National Scholar. Kara was crowned Miss Prairie View A&M University 2008-2009, where her platform was “Leadership development for all PV students.” Through her platform, she sought to expose the student body to lectures and speakers aimed at leadership development for all students. Kara graduated from Prairie View with Magna Cum Laude honors.
