Dr. McClerkin earned her Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine from Texas Chiropractic College in 2012. Dr. McClerkin also earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Michigan State University in 2006; she attained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington and her Master of Science in Nursing.

​Dr. McClerkin is a multifaceted chiropractor and Family Nurse Practitioner in Houston, TX. She entered the healthcare industry to pursue her passion for educating others on a healthy lifestyle and helping people overcome injuries and return to optimal performance. Currently, she owns The Sports and Wellness Doc, where she focuses on sports injuries, regenerative medicine, and holistic wellness.

She has a strong presence in the community and advocates for women’s health through her non-profit, 9 Months of 5K, which values the importance of health, fitness, and nutrition during pregnancy.

While Dr. McClerkin has had great success professionally, she is also deeply passionate about her family and her work in the community. When not working or serving, you can find Dr. McClerkin running in local races. Her sons escort her to the finish line, and her husband takes pictures while encouraging her from the crowd.
