
Ericka Hill is the Director of Player Engagement for the Atlanta Hawks. In her role, Hill is responsible for directing the team’s visibility through player engagement. She also works with various internal stakeholders to set organizational goals in corporate social responsibility, corporate partnerships, and ticketing. Additionally, Hill develops and executes off-the-court player development programs to promote the personal and professional growth of the team’s players. In her previous role, Hill served as the Director of Community Affairs and Executive Director of the Atlanta Braves Foundation for 15 years, leading the organization’s strategic philanthropic and fundraising initiatives. Hill raised and distributed more than $7 million to local non-profit organizations, secured funding, and oversaw the creation of the Atlanta Braves Baseball Academy, a multi-million-dollar youth sports complex, established the Pinch Hitter Youth Baseball Fund to distribute more than $100,000 to youth baseball and softball teams. She also created initiatives, including the Jr. Braves Baseball League that provided baseball instruction to more than 6,000 disadvantaged youth and the Braves Care employee volunteer program. She built and maintained collaborative partnerships with local school systems and non-profit organizations.
Before the Atlanta Braves, Hill served as media relations manager at Porter Novelli Public Relations, developing communications strategies and executing thought leadership campaigns for clients. She also spent six years as the community relations manager for the Miami Heat, implementing community outreach efforts. A native of Toledo, Ohio, Hill earned a Bachelor of Science in Exceptional Education from the University of Central Florida and a Master of Science in Sports Marketing from St.Thomas University in Miami. Hill is a member of the NBA Team Player Development Community & Culture Advisory Committee, the Joseph Lowry Institute Change Agent Advisory Committee and led the facilities logistics subcommittee for the 2020 Fulton County Election Task Force. She also has been actively involved with the Red Cross Minority Recruitment Board, Andrew & Walter Young YMCA, and the Spelman College Coca-Cola Leads Mentoring Program. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Buckhead Cascade City (GA) Chapter of the Links, Inc.
