Sean T. Long, Founder, Former President, and Chief Executive Officer of Endeavor Energy Holdings LLC, has over 27 years and over $15 billion worth of investment, M&A, development, construction, financing, ownership, and management experience in a variety of energy infrastructure industries. Under Sean’s leadership, Endeavor was considered one of the leading power development and generation companies focused on Africa. Endeavor is a U.S.-headquartered, privately-owned company dedicated to acquiring, developing, and owning power generation facilities in Africa. Since its founding in 2013, Sean led Endeavor’s growth from 4 team members and no assets to nearly 200 full-time team members and $1 billion total assets.

Sean is former Senior Vice President and head of Enron Corp’s business activities in Africa, a Fortune 50 company at the time. While at Enron, Sean participated in activities with a multitude of countries, notably including Angola, China, Columbia, Ghana, Guam, Mozambique, Nigeria, Panama, South Africa, Thailand, Venezuela, to name a few. Sean led the successful development of Nigeria’s first IPP, a $150 million, 300MW gas-fired power project, which delivered power in Nigeria for 20 years. Sean was also involved in developing the $400 million, 865km Pande Gas Pipeline Project in Mozambique. The pipeline still delivers natural gas to South Africa today.

After Enron founded Exodus Crossing LLC, a strategic advisory company, Sean, through Exodus, was a special advisor to the CEO of BioTherm Energy (Pty) Limited, a renewable energy power generation company focused on South Africa and elsewhere in Africa. Sean has served on various private company boards and executive management committees, including Endeavor and its multiple subsidiaries. Sean also sits on the Business Council for International Understanding board, a US not-for-profit group designed to improve business relationships between US companies doing business outside of the United States. He also impacts Wake Forest University’s PAC, a committee designed to help Wake Forest University raise capital for and improve its athletic program.

Before Endeavor Energy, Sean served as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel for all of Enron’s international acquisitions and privatization activities and other legal roles with Enron. Before Enron, Sean was an associate in the M&A group at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher, and Flom in New York and Houston. Sean has a solid technical background, having earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering (a specialty electrical engineering degree) from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1987 and later earned his Juris Doctorate from Columbia University School of Law 1993. Mr. Long is also a member of the New York State Bar since 1993. Sean also served as an Officer in the United States Army as a Captain.
