
For more than 22 years, Keith J. Davis, Sr., also known as “MR. D-MARS,” has worked in advertising, marketing, media, and communication. As President and CEO of Vaskey Media Group, Inc., he has spearheaded campaigns for many local and national brands and many well-respected business owners and community leaders. As a United States Army veteran, Davis has always had a special place in his heart for service to the community.
The skills he has developed, the relationships he cultivated, and the experience he has gained as President and CEO of Vaskey Media Group, Inc. have ultimately led to a multimedia business empire offering a wide range of media services through d-mars.com, Subcontractors USA-Texas, Top 30 Influential Women, and a host of major events highlighting many of Texas’ most influential including the d-mars.com Top 50 Black Professionals & Entrepreneurs Awards, Top 25 Prime Contractors and Sub Contractors Luncheon and Top 30 Influential Women of Houston Awards Gala. He also formed the nonprofit My Missing Pieces as well as his own publishing company, K. Jerrold Publishing.
Today, his award-winning career continues to expand, while his genuine heart and spirit for the community have remained constant. He was recognized by the Christian Bible Institute and Seminary for his community contribution and honored with a Doctor of Humane Letters. He has been honored by countless other organizations for his diligence and hard work, including the United States Department of the Army Achievement Medal, Missouri City & Vicinity NAACP Outstanding Services in the Community Award, Texas Black Expo Visionary Award, Prairie View A&M University Appreciation Award, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Verna Lee Booker Hightower Award, Texas Women’s Empowerment Foundation Sponsorship Award, Barbara Jordan Endeavors Support Award, and 1000 Men in Black Empowerment Expo Community Leader Award among several others.
Davis takes pride in having assisted countless professionals and organizations reach wider audiences and growing their businesses. He has established a prominent presence in Houston and surrounding areas because of the stellar media services he provided to clients. His company publishes two monthly journals: Subcontractors USA-Texas and the d-mars.com Business Journal. Davis continues to be active in the community and serves as a Board Member of the Greater Houston Chapter of the American Red Cross and the Houston Minority Supplier Development Council.
