Alexis “Fly” Jones is a producer turned television personality. Showcasing her skills behind and in front of the camera, Jones utilized her platform to inspire confidence in her followers – no matter their age. Embodying her brand’s mission, her achievements represent her initiative and belief in her abilities.
After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Clark Atlanta University in 2007, the Houstonian increased her wide experience in media and entertainment by assuming positions such as formerly serving as a Vice-President for a public relations firm, working for Music World Entertainment (formerly Beyoncé Knowles & Destiny Child’s Management Company), and Guerrilla Tactics Media (producers of BET’s reality show “Master of the Mix”). For eight years Jones served as a Top 10 market producer for KHOU Ch.11’s Great Day Houston (CBS affiliate). Recently, adding ‘cast member’ to her credentials, she starred in Will Packer’s hit show “Ready To Love” Season 4, which premiered on the Oprah Winfrey Network.
Jones executive produced and directed her first short film titled, “Dear BLK Son.” This poetic short film shares a mother’s powerful message to her African American son in the Nation’s current climate. The film was created as a message to her own young son, as she began to ponder on the conversations she would share with him now and in the future on race relations. In addition, Jones co-produced the short film “Hear Our Voices,” which won a Silver Telly Award, the highest honor.
As a television producer and media personality, Jones has participated as an emcee, panelist, and moderator, hosting various events for major brands and Top Fortune Companies including Walmart & Microsoft. She’s a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc., serving formerly as a local Chapter President. She also serves on the board for the Houston Association of Black Journalists. Her list of other services to the community includes volunteering for several 501c-3 organizations to include 100 Black Men of America, the Afro-American Police Officers League, and the Society of Royals to name a few.
Her goal in life is to encourage many to fly high above lower vibrational opinions and thoughts. Embrace your self-worth and the rest will follow. Excuses may be easy to find; however, faith overpowers doubt, discouragement, and all fear-based emotions.
