Caroline Clarke Senior Vice President, Editorial Content Strategy at Nielsen Media, is an award-winning journalist, a sought after speaker, moderator and published author.
In her current role, Clarke leads the Nielsen Media Thought Leadership team and sets the global strategy for content, as the organization faces a new chapter, transforming into an independent, publicly traded media company. Clarke spent much of her career at Black Enterprise, where she was the founder and Chief Brand Officer, Women of Power. Comprised of the nation’s largest annual conference for women of color executives — the Women of Power Summit – as well as a wealth of original multi-platform content, the brand exists to give black women pursuing careers in business the heightened validation, visibility and access to information and individuals they need to endure and advance.
Clarke’s video-podcast, On the Clock with Caroline Clarke, earned a 2020 Telly Award for Best Motivational Online Content Series. An acclaimed author, her most recent book, Postcards from Cookie, was voted Best Memoir of the Year by Essence (2014). Her first book, Take a Lesson: Today’s Black Achievers on How They Made It & What They Learned Along the Way,” has been included in several business course syllabi. A native New Yorker with degrees from Smith College and Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, Clarke is a mother of two and a passionate advocate for adoption, mental health and wellness, and high-quality public education who has served on several non-profit boards.
